Police in Enga has identified the suspect involved in the recent sorcery case. It’s claimed they accused the six-year-old child of sorcery and tortured her last month in Surinki. The deceased is the daughter of late Laniata Kepara, who was also accused of sorcery and burned to death in 2012 at Mt Hagen. Tribal Foundation and Lutheran Missionary in Enga Province, Anton Lutz, who rescued the child, has called for immediate action to stop sorcery accusations of violence in the country.
